Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for providing friendly and efficient pharmacy care to all customers.
Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
Performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacist, and other supervisors including but not limited to: maintaining pharmacy workflow, and utilizing pharmacy systems to search and enter patient, prescriber, and drug information; ensuring all prescription information is entered and processed correctly; filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, pouring pharmaceutical drugs, processing insurance billing and basic problem resolution.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions and clinical services (i.e. Meds to bed program, Emergency department pharmacy services etc.).
Responsible and accountable for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, collects and handles payments as required. Takes customer to OTC aisle to assist in locating products.
Demonstrates phone etiquette and answers phone in a timely manner.
Utilizes the inventory management system in order to maintain proper inventory levels and reduce partial filled prescriptions, process received orders, wholesaler returns, and removing outdated/damaged/expired drug returns
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks and results as needed.

A team player with attention to customers, ensuring that both medical professionals and patients are responded to with accurate and timely information.
Ability to work in teams, and ensuring timely completion of assigned work requirements.
Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to deal with a diverse customer group.
Strong problem solving skills.
Knowledge of Federal and State laws, regulations, and standards regarding the provision of pharmacy services. Staying abreast on existing and new legislations and advising management on needed actions.
Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Minimum 1 year current community pharmacy experience, or completion of an externship at El Camino Health
Demonstrates knowledge of outpatient and retail drugs (prescription and non-prescription) and usual doses for various patient populations preferred.
License/Certification/Registration Requirements
Current ACTIVE California Pharmacy Technician registration.
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certified technician preferred.
Completion of an ACPE Accredited or Board of Pharmacy approved Immunization training program preferred.

Salary Range:
$32.61 - $45.16 USD Hourly
