Job Description
- Sorting and distributing daily incoming mail.
- Reviewing correspondence received from payors.
- Responding to requests for information from physician offices.
- Entering authorization information from incoming documents into Epic.
- Support for pulling of check copies.
- Responsible for timely responses for Subpoenas and lawyers’ offices.
- Works with HIM, Nurse Auditor, Compliance and Medicare team on Certs, ADRS and Rac Audits.
- Supports Variance Team with medical records for appeals.
- Scans all correspondence.
- Support for distribution of daily reports.
- Provides back-up support to assigned areas as requested.
- Processes all mail returns.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Understands the role and importance of support and teamwork in meeting the objectives of the revenue management cycle within Patient Financial Services.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year experience in a position that provided clerical support, preferably in a hospital or medical clinic setting.
AGES OF PATIENTS SERVED
This position does not require contact with patients but may communicate with patients over the age of eighteen.
Salary Range:
$25.44 - $38.16 USD Hourly
