Job Description
Responsible for collecting and documenting clinical data on patients during admission and throughout the hospital stay. Provides interventions which are within scope of licensure practice, follow policy/procedures/treatment plan/MD orders. Assists patients improve level of functioning. Provides information to RNs and others as needed for the assessment, care-planning, and provision of care of patients on the psychiatric unit. Participation is expected in continuing education, development of unit programs, facilitation of staff communication and assistance to other units when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent.
One year Acute Psychiatric experience.
Organizational and communication skills.
General computer proficiency including knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
License/Certifications
Current Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) - Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians - CA
Current Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association
Salary Range:
$41.52 - $51.49 USD Hourly
